Sony Cyber Shot DSC HX100V Review
Sony cybershot DSC HX100V is the new offering from the Sony Stable aimed to upwardly aspiring customers who are still averse to buying Digital SLR cameras due to their size but still look for the kind of quality DSLRs offer. The Carl Zeiss lens which is the standard fit for all the Sony Cameras does bulk up the camera but more than makes up for it with its superior quality results.
The cameras in this range invariably offer flip out screen which is present in this camera as well. This allows one to click images from high or low angles. All the buttons are located on the right of the screen that also includes four directional buttons for traditional menu and features. The pop up flash is located right on top of the lens and is relatively larger in size than seen in other brands. The camera can be charged directly from a power source without taking out the battery. While this can be a handy feature for those who resist moving their camera often, I find it pretty ordinary thinking since it is to me a bad idea not to take out the battery for charging.
The camera has a 1 mega pixel CMOS sensor and houses Exmor R technology found in high end cameras of the company. The specific advantage of this technology is that it allows very good quality photos in even low light conditions. The camera allows Full HD video recording in 1080p at 60 frames per second, wide panorama photography option. The unique feature of the camera is that it supports both SD cards as well as its own Pro Duo cards. ISO settings go upto 3200 which allows shooting in low lighting conditions but it does result in graining and noise. 30X optical zoom is an amazing feature and it is exhilarating to capture details which one cant even make out with naked eyes. The pictures captured are crisp, colourful and lively. Sound recording in video is stereo which has of late become a standard feature. Overall this camera builds up a pretty decent features packaged in a compact size giving maximum bang for the buck. Talking about the prices, the camera retails at Rs 22900 but a little street searching can get you this great camera for as little as 21000!!
